Week of Feb 2-6

Monday Feb 2nd:
1st,5th,6th hour:Last week students took a pre-test on solving linear equations. Today they will finish a practice worksheet they began on Friday and hopefully we can clear up any misunderstandings. They will then take a post-test.
4th hr hw: pg 59 #14, redo last week's assignments for further credit
1,st,5th,6th hr hw: pg 59 #14
7th hour:
Go over week 1 test, discuss ways to use resources, finish partner ordering activity

Tuesday Feb 3rd:
4th hour: Say It With Symbols: 2.2. Last week students wrote equations by combining several pieces of information. This week they will be substituting expressions into equations to write new equations that model real world relationships.
4th hour hw: pg 30 #9
1st,5th,6th hours: Today students will encounter a problem very similar to the walkathon problem from Moving Straight Ahead in 7th grade. Today students will be using several pieces of information and write one equation to model the situation.

7th hour:Vocabulary, Extending the Number Line: Accentuate the Negative 1.1

Wednesday Feb 4th:
4th hour: Say It With Symbols: 2.3B. In this investigation students will, again, be expected to substitute expressions into equations and write an equation to model real world relationships.
hw: pg 32 #19-21
1st,5th,6th hours: Say It With Symbols: 2.2. Last week students wrote equations by combining several pieces of information. This week they will be substituting expressions into equations to write new equations that model real world relationships.
7th hour: Extending the Number Line: Accentuate the Negative 1.2

4th hour: Mathematical Reflection and Review (Quiz next Tues)
