Week of March 30-April 2

This week marks the half-way point of the marking period and the last week before spring break. We will not only be continuing our work in Shapes of Algebra, but will also begin working on the math portion of the team biodiversity project. Thursday the 8B Team will be heading to WMU for the field trip.

Monday March 30:
All hours: return quizzes/discuss quiz, Investigation 4.1. In this investigation students will be solving systems of equations by setting them equal to each other.
7th hour: return quizzes/discuss quiz, Investigation 2.1 MSA. In this investigation students will be finding solutions to a real world problem using a table or graph.

Tuesday March 31:
All hours: Investigation 4.2. In this investigation students will be rewriting equations in y=mx+b form or x=ky+c form. Then they will set those equations equal to each other to solve the system.
7th hour: Investigation 2.2 MSA. In this investigation students will begin to develop an understanding for patterns in the tables, graphs, and equations of linear relationships and connecting their solutions to these representations.
