Welcome back! I am feeling refreshed and ready to start a new school year and I hope you are too! This week will be mainly a week for information on expectations and procedures. We will end the week reviewing linear relationships from 7th grade.
Tuesday Sept 2, 2008: 1/2 Day - Students will spend all morning in their advisory class learning about building expectations, receiving registration packets, and getting their new schedules and planners.
Wednesday Sept 3, 2008: We will be going over bathroom expectations, arrival/departure expectations for class, and setting classroom expectations.
Thursday Sept 4, 2008: Classroom procedures/Lancer notes. Students will work in groups on "Representing Possibilities". In this assignment students will examine pizza costs and represent information in a table, graph, and equation.
Friday Sept 5, 2008: Students will be completing their "Representing Possibilities" problem with their group and will be displaying their work on large grid paper around the room. These posters will give us a launching point for our discussion on the characteristics of linear relationships.
