This week we will be taking the math EdPerformance test Monday and Tuesday. This test is extremely important for our eigth graders as their progress on this test over the year helps determine what classes students will take in high school. Please encourage your student to get lots of sleep and to eat a good breakfast Monday and Tuesday. We will also be discussing exponential decay at the end of the week and students will complete a project that helps them to understand the characteristics of an exponential decay pattern.
Monday Nov 10: EdPerformance
Tuesday Nov 11: EdPerformance
Wednesday Nov 12: Career Day in the morning
4th, 5th, 6th, 7th hours:
Thursday Nov 13: Exponential Decay Project
In this project students will be modeling the radioactive decay of certain atoms with tables, graphs, and equations. Based on their results they will determine the half-life of the atom.
Friday Nov 14: Exponential Decay Project
Next week will be our unit test on Growing, Growing, Growing!
